Dr. David Miyashiro is a forward-thinking education leader known for creating a culture of trust and innovation while revolutionizing learning approaches in Southern California. As a digital pioneer, he has garnered recognition for his efforts, including being named Superintendent of the Year, K-12 Dive’s 2022 District of the Year, and one of the “Top 35 District Leaders in Personalized Learning” by the White House and U.S. Department of Education. As superintendent of Cajon Valley Union School District, he established the first Computer Science Magnet School, a digital teacher academy, and personalized technology learning programs. Under his leadership, the district has won multiple awards, including the National School Boards Association’s Magna Award for Digital Learning. Dr. Miyashiro has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from UCLA, a Master’s in education technology from Grand Canyon University, and a Bachelor’s from Cal State Long Beach.
